Q: Mary, first – what is the Dynamis MAX by Fotona, and why is Beautiful Eyes Aesthetics introducing it this November?
A: First I want to say that this is so exciting and we are the very first in New England to have this machine! The Dynamis MAX is a cutting-edge, dual-wavelength laser platform that combines Er:YAG and Nd:YAG wavelengths, enabling a broad spectrum of aesthetic and dermatologic treatments. This system allows us to provide highly precise and customizable care, ranging from skin resurfacing and tightening to scar revision, pigmentation correction, vascular lesion treatment, Body contouring, hair regrowth and even hair reduction. Its versatility makes it an ideal addition to our services, allowing us to address multiple concerns with one advanced device.

Q: How does Dynamis MAX differ from other devices you currently use at The Eye Center?
A: While we already offer a variety of advanced treatments including the Fotona TimeWalker Pro with laser resurfacing, RF microneedling, IPL photo rejuvenation, and combination treatments such as our signature Beautiful Eyes Treatment, the Dynamis MAX also brings dual-wavelength flexibility that is unique to Fotona. The Er:YAG
wavelength is excellent for precise skin resurfacing, ablating imperfections while promoting natural regeneration while the Nd:YAG wavelength penetrates deeper,is ideal for vascular lesions, deeper collagen remodeling and building, and hair reduction. Both wavelengths can be used individually or combined, allowing us to tailor each treatment to patient needs.

Q: What kinds of treatments can patients expect, especially around the eyes or face?
A: Dynamis MAX opens up over 100 different treatment options for the face and body. Around the eyes and face, patients can benefit from fractional resurfacing to improve fine lines and skin texture, periocular tightening to reduce laxity and refresh the appearance, pigmentation reduction for sun spots and melasma, vascular lesion treatments for rosacea or broken capillaries, deep collagen remodeling for long-term rejuvenation, and even non-surgical eyelid rejuvenation procedures. Essentially, this device allows comprehensive facial rejuvenation with natural-looking results while
minimizing downtime.
Q: What is the patient experience like during and after treatment?
A: Treatments are generally well-tolerated with the Fotona lasers but the Max offers an exclusive feature that makes it special. The Max has DMC cooling. That means Dry Molecular Cooling, this is a ultra fine mist of cooling making the treatments even more tolerable than most laser treatments. Patients may feel a very mild snapping or warming sensation, and we can also use numbing cream for sensitive areas or deeper treatments. The incorporation of the DMC cooling technologies
and real-time temperature monitoring maximizes comfort and safety. Recovery entirely depends on the settings used, but for most treatments, downtime is minimal – patients often return to their normal activities within 1-2 days. Improvements continue gradually as collagen remodels and skin regenerates over the following weeks, up to months after treatment.
Q: Who is an ideal candidate for Fotona Dynamis MAX treatments?
A: Most healthy adults seeking skin rejuvenation, pigmentation correction, vascular lesion improvement, body contouring or those seeking skin tightening are good candidates. We perform a thorough evaluation to account for skin type and any medical contraindications, such as active skin infections or certain health
conditions. One of the device’s strengths is its adaptability; treatment settings can be fine-tuned to accommodate different skin types, areas, and concerns.

Q: When will Dynamis MAX be available and how can patients schedule or prepare?
A: We are launching the Fotona Dynamis MAX this November. Patients can schedule FREE consultations to assess candidacy, set expectations, and create a personalized treatment plan. Preparation involves avoiding heavy sun exposure and certain skincare treatments in the weeks prior. Our team will provide detailed pre-care instructions to ensure the safest, most effective outcomes.
