Voter deadlines approaching for Greenfield Election

GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield Local Election set for November 4th is fast approaching. The deadline to register to vote is this Friday, October 24th and the deadline for the annual application for vote-by-mail is Tuesday, October 28th at 5 p.m.

There will be a ballot question forum on Wednesday, October 29th at 4 p.m. which will be broadcast live by GCTV.

Greenfield Announces Vote by Mail for November 4th, 2025 Election
GREENFIELD – The Greenfield City Clerk’s Office is announcing the availability of vote by mail for the 2025
Local General Election on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025. There is no “in-person early voting” available for this
election.

Greenfield residents are reminded that vote-by-mail or absentee ballot applications must be submitted annually.
To learn more about applying for vote-by-mail or absentee voting, please visit the City’s Elections webpage:
https://greenfield-ma.gov/elections_and_voting/index.php. The last day to submit a vote-by-mail application for
the Local General Election is Tuesday, October 28th, 2025 at 5 p.m. The application must be received in the City
Clerk’s Office by that date and time. The City Clerk’s Office is located in room 104 at Greenfield City Hall, 14
Court Square, Greenfield, MA 01301.

The deadline for voter registration or to change voter information for this election is Friday, October 24th, 2025 at 5 p.m. Greenfield residents can register to vote by visiting the City Clerk’s Office during business hours (Monday
through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.) or online at: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/OVR/.

Vote-by-mail ballots must be received by the City Clerk’s Office by close of polls on election day, which is 8 p.m.
Vote-by-mail ballots can be returned by mail, dropped off at the Clerk’s Office, or deposited in the drop box
located on the north side of City Hall. The Clerk’s Office will be open until 8 p.m. on election day. Ballots
deposited in the drop box before 8 p.m. will be counted.

Voting on Election Day, November 4, 2025, will be held at the Greenfield High School gymnasium, located at 21
Barr Avenue. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
