GARDNER, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A man has allegedly stolen a parked car outside Heywood Hospital in Gardner on Monday, with a child still inside.
According to Police officials, the suspect drove a short distance before letting the child out unharmed. The car was located and followed by police, but once the driver began to act erratically, police did not pursue the chase for public safety.
Shortly after, the police found the vehicle abandoned in Lowell.
An investigation is ongoing and police say the suspect has been identified although they are not making that information public at this time.
