EASTHAMPTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Two patients were transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision at the base of Mt. Tom on Holyoke Street in Easthampton on Friday.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found one passenger trapped in the vehicle and crews utilized fire engine extrication tools to rescue them. 

With the Easthampton ambulances and crews already occupied on calls, Northampton and Southampton ambulances were requested for aid, while Westhampton fire crews provided station coverage. Easthampton police were on scene for traffic control and initial medical assessment and treatment of patients.
