GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Update: The two individuals injured and airlifted to Baystate Medical Center after jumping over the bridge on Turners Falls Road Tuesday night, had allegedly broken into a Greenfield laundromat just before in an effort to rob the ATM inside before leading police on a pursuit.
The pursuit ended in a crash on the bridge where the individuals fled their vehicle and jumped over the bridge, sustaining serious injuries.
10/29/2025 – Two individuals were injured late Tuesday evening after falling from the bridge on Turners Falls Road.
Emergency responders from the Turners Falls and Greenfield Fire and Police Departments were called in just before 11 p.m. and members of the Western Mass Regional Technical Rescue Team were called in to assist with the challenging extrication over the 20-foot abutment wall.
Ambulances and medical helicopter transport were requested for the two injured individuals. The condition of the patients is unknown at this time, according to officials from the Turners Falls Fire Department.
