GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Massachusetts State Police received approximately 100 calls on Monday reporting suspicious phone scam activity.
The scammers make calls claiming to be a Trooper with the “Internet Crime Complaint Center,” something that does not exist according to State Police.
The scam is believed to be nationwide and recipients of such calls are asked to disconnect and not provide personal information.
