SHUTESBURY, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Town of Shutesbury is currently without a Town Clerk, leaving the Selectboard to consider removing the option for early voting by mail in the next Town Election.
Without the staff to adequately manage applications and sending ballots out, the town may see a significant decrease in voter turnout as approximately half of ballots cast in local elections are by mail according to the former Shutesbury Town Clerk Grace Bannasch.
