GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Greenfield Mayor Ginny Desorgher gave an update on the rat population problem at the Transfer Station at Wednesday’s City Council meeting, saying the site is getting regular visits from the Department of Environmental Protection and the city is following all guidelines issued to them. With decreased transfer station hours and increased cleaning measures, they are seeing a decline in the rat population.
