GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — After nearly a century of serving the public on Main Street in downtown Greenfield, Cleary Jewelers has announced that it will be moving to the Mohawk Trail in Greenfeld in early 2026.

Owner Kerry Semaski said that the store will be relocating to the former Bank of Western Massachusetts building in the Home Depot Plaza.

Semaski said a lease agreement is not yet signed but said that “we are far enough along in the process that we can finally announce this news.”

Semaski said Cleary’s will open at the new location in late February or early March of 2026.

The move is the culmination of a lengthy process that saw Semaski served eviction notices before ultimately reaching a settlement with MassDevelopment, the Franklin Community Co-op and The Community Builders back in October to vacate the former Wilson’s Department Store building.

Plans for a new, expanded Green Fields Market as well as housing units are now expected to proceed at the former Wilson’s site.
