HATFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The town of Hatfield’s Water Department has joined a growing number of municipalities in issuing voluntary water ban amidst significantly dry weather conditions.
The town of Hatfield is asking residents to limit their outside water use due to a recent lack of precipitation with no significant rainfall forecasted in the near future.
The Hatfield Water Department also said they will communicate with residents if drought conditions worsen and a mandatory water ban becomes necessary.
Other municipalities such as Greenfield, Orange, and Athol have also issued similar voluntary water restrictions.
