GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Greenfield City Council will be convening on September 3rd at 6:30 p.m. for a Special Meeting to discuss proposed changes to the ballot question approved by the Council in their August 20th meeting regarding the citizen’s petition against the Council vote to authorize the Mayor to sell the parking lot at 53 Hope Street.
The City’s Attorney Gordon Quinn will be in attendance to discuss, as written on the agenda, “objections made by the Chair of the Referendum Petitioners’ Committee to the ballot question.”
There is a motion to rescind the Council’s vote approving the ballot question and a subsequent motion with altered language for the ballot question set to come before voters in November.
