SOUTH DEERFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 halted the practice, Yankee Candle has donated the coins from the wishing moat in the Deerfield flagship store to the Dakin Humane Society.
The coins collected from the past five years totaled over $11,000.
The donations are part of a longstanding tradition started in 1994 by Yankee Candle founder Mike Kittredge.
