Shelburne Grange Fair Returns on August 29th!
A whole day of fun is scheduled for August 28th as the official last event of summer takes place in Shelburne Center for the annual Grange Fair. This year’s fair features three planetarium presentations from Stars Above Inc! There will also be clowns from the Shriner’s and magician Steve Charrette. Returning this year is Robert Fletcher a local singer who called the Grange Fair his best gig of the summer! At noon the Shelburne Falls Military Band will be back to provide music while fairgoers enjoy the Famous Grange Fair Chicken BBQ (only $18 for a huge meal). This year the Craft Fair benefits Audrey’s Angels and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. If you like insects, reptiles, or farm animals, there will be hands on selections of all of these. Oak Ridge Detachment Marine Corp League will provide concessions.
Don’t forget that if you have created an art item, baked something, taken a photo, sewn something, or even grew flowers or vegetables, you can enter them in the fair. You can earn prizes as the Shelburne Grange Fair is an awesome place to learn about entering exhibits. Our judges are kind enough to write notes about ways to improve and the number of entries is smaller than the big fairs.

Fair open 9-4 with auction of prize winning exhibits at 4:30!
9-4 Craft Market, Exhibit Hall, Petting Farm, Concessions, Weavers Guild, Fire Safety, Church Bake Sale, Butter making, and a selection of historical farm items
10-1 Shriner’s Clowns will be walking around and making balloon art for kids.
