Increasingly, organizations have come to understand that one of the true keys to organizational and business success is increasing the level of Employee Engagement within their organizations. There is plenty of research and documentation to support this understanding. A recent Gallup survey found that organizations with higher levels of employee engagement boast 22% higher profitability. A Hewitt Associates study found that organizations with engagement scores above 65 percent outperformed the total stock index, even in volatile times. In this engaging and interactive seminar, we will discuss the cost of low engagement, the ROI for increasing levels of employee engagement and some specific strategies on how to increase engagement within organizations. Human Resources (HR) is often seen as a very dark, mysterious and humorless place where few fear to tread. Well, HR does have its days but there is always time for some levity and lightheartedness. From recruiting/hiring through to termination of employment, HR gets involved, sees a lot and laughs out loud at the absurd. In this brief talk, Ross will share some anecdotes and stories from close to 30 years working inside HR organizations. Seating is limited, so please reserve your seat early! Coffee & light refreshments will be provided. Register for this free workshop online at www.gcc.mass.edu/wakeup. Call (413)-586-6506 or email bizteam@fhcareers.org with any questions.
