British pop superstar Adele has given fans a huge hint she’s set to release a new album later this year in an enigmatic tweet marking her 26th birthday.

The elusive singer has remained largely out of the public spotlight since the huge success of her 2011 album, “21,” only appearing at major events and music industry prize givings.

However, she has given a major hint that she’s preparing to return to the limelight after taking to Twitter ahead of her birthday on Monday.

Fans began discussing what the tweet meant, with many coming to the conclusion that her next record will follow of the form of her previous releases, “19″ and “21″, by boasting the title “25.”

The albums names represent Adele’s age when she wrote the songs.
