Hooray! Hooray! NCTKids is bringing everybody’s favorite first grader to the stage in this lively musical adaptation of Barbara Park’s beloved Junie B. Jones book series. Junie B. (the B. stands for Beatrice only she does not like Beatrice, just B.) sings and dances her way through First Grade with the help of her teacher Mr. Scary, the Cafeteria Lady and friends like Sheldon and Herb and even that tattle- tale, May. Grab your top-secret personal beeswax journal and join us for all the fun of JUNIE B. JONES: THE MUSICAL.

The 5th annual Upper Valley Music Festival celebrates in downtown Turners Falls on July 25th from 12 noon until 12 midnight.  This year’s event features over 30 local, regional and international talent, a performance by the Celtic Heels Irish Step Dancers and a traditional Irish music session. The lineup includes- John Sheldon, Gaslight Tinkers, Holly May, The Snaz, Katelyn Richards, Pat and Tex LaMountain,  Samantha Ferrell, Mary Jane Jones, Women Songwriter Collective, Multiple All Ireland bones champion Steve Brown, Carrie Ferguson, Chris Scanlon and Blackstone Cuil.  Tickets on sale at www.uppervalleymusicfest.com.  Proceeds donated to the American Cancer Society to help fund cancer research.

The Greenfield Military Band will perform Tuesday July 28 at the Energy Park, Miles Street, Greenfield from 7 to 8 PM, free tho donations will be accepted. The Greenfield Military Band celebrates 113 seasons this year and perform mixes of marches, familiar hits, pop tunes, oldies, overtures and more. Always bring your own chair/blanket.

The Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts sponsors a Brain Injury Support Group on the last Wednesday of each month, 5 – 7 pm, in Baystate Franklin Medical Center’s Conference Room A.  Refreshments are provided. Discussions and guest speakers are varied; survivors of brain injury, as well as their spouses, family members, and care givers are invited.
