10/7/13 – Nominated by Sandy Ollari. Donald Mailloux. I could not think of a better person to nominate other than Don Mailloux. He has been generous with any and all community functions. He donates his time & money. Whenever he wins lottery prizes, he has donated everything to a sports booster fund raiser, and all money has gone to the school sports boosters for sports equipment and uniforms. He is always looking for ways to help raise money for any community functions. Not just community functions but for any family in need. He is not just a great community citizen he is a great brother and I am proud and honored to say, “He is the definition of a Good Citizen!” He goes out of his way to help anyone and is a very giving person. Don works hard and I see that on a day to day basis, but he always finds time to give and volunteer to his community and anyone in need! Ask anyone! He has always volunteered and helped at many functions! Thank you and I hope you accept my nomination!

9/23/13 – Nominated by Louise Duclos of Greenfield: Jackie and Ralph Cassidy are our neighbors and friends. Jackie is a woman who does not hesitate to offer help to freinds and acquaintances whenever they might need it. Since I do not drive she has driven me to the hospital, in Greenfield as well as Springfield, when my husband was hospitalized in the past. She always calls to offer to take me to do any errands that I may have as well.
Recently when her friend was ill she went to her house every day to check on her and also did her errands for her. When her friend was hospitalized she went to see her every day as well.
She quite often goes to the nursing home to visit friends and relatives and takes her daughter’s little dog with her to visit the patients who are really happy to see the little puppy.
Jackie has been an officer on the Board of Trustees for our condo association for a great number of years as well. She is a genuinely kind and sincere person and friend.
Jackie Cassidy is well deserving of the “Good Citizen of the Week” award.
